SAM 2016.3.14 Runs much slower than previous versions was created by NavidS
Hi Paul,
I started using the new version of SAM (2016.3.14) for PV and noticed the run time is much longer than before.
Is there anything I can do to resolve the issue?
Thanks,
Navid

Dear Navid,
The PV model itself should not run slower in SAM 2016.3.14 than it did in older versions. The 3D Shade Calculator in the new version is slower because it is making new diffuse shading calculations, and potentially calculating subarray shading loss values from a set of string loss values.
Would you mind emailing me a copy of a .sam file that is running slowly so I can run some tests on it?
Best regards,
Paul.
