where is the Cavity Receiver in SAM 2016/03/14 ?

No, the cavity receiver is not an option for the power tower model in SAM 2016.3.14. It is available in SAM 2014.1.14. We do hope to reintroduce it in a future version of SAM.

When simulating a small CSP Tower tech (30MWe) plant, the heliostat field is not a circular one, therefore cavity receiver parameters shall be available in the SAM Model. Are cavity receivers an option in SAM?

As I mentioned in my reply above, the power tower models in the latest versions of SAM do not support cavity receivers. If you would like to model a system with a cavity receiver, you can download SAM 2014.1.14 from the Downloads page. To see a list of download links for the legacy versions, you must first log on to the SAM website.
