Attenuation default in SAM different to Wagner (2008) was created by Lukas H
Hi all,
I got a question regarding the atmospheric attenuation model for Central Receiver Systems (salt) in V2015.6.30: The constant component of the attenuation loss is: '0.006789' while Eq.(2.6) in Wagner (2008) reads slightly differently: '0.006739'
Although the difference is marginal, I would like to know which of the two is the correct one. Maybe there is a typo in one of them or a slightly different curve fit was done?
Many thanks
Lukas

Dear Lukas,
That is a very small difference. You may want to check the reference in Wagner's thesis. It mentions a 1976 Hottel article in Solar Energy Vol 18 pp. 129 as a reference for Equation 2.6.
Best regards,
Paul.
