hot header temperature was created by Saeed aziz
Dear Paul,

When i simulate the hot header temperature outlet for using molten salt as HTF and DNI of 910 W/m2 for different locations in Egypt, for 12 hours of thermal storage to produce 50 Mwe as net electric power, I found that the maximum hot temperature obtained in summer and winter days is about 400-450 , how that and operation temperatures of molten salt up to 500-550 C to super heat the steam to turbine.?

Please Explain

Thanks

Dear Saeed,
I assume you are modeling system in SAM's molten salt power tower system. If the temperatures are not high enough, you'll need to adjust the design parameters accordingly. Did you optimize the field after changing the reference DNI and storage capacity?
Feel free to email me a copy of your .sam file if you would like me to review it.
Best regards,

Paul.
