I am using SAM to evaluate the performaces of one-axis PV solar field. The plant wuold be placed near some shadowing buildings and the strings would be also self-shaded.
In my case it is important to calculate the beam energy (or hourly beam power) which hits the PV modules after all the shadowing effects before the software find the DC energy output. Is There a parameter that indicates this?
In other words: can I read the self-shading effect inside of the "Self shading derate" without the bypass diode operation?
