trnsys source code was created by ignasi.gurruchaga@aiguasol.coop
Dear

Trying to compile trnsys sam source code I've realised that the water_properties module is missed and it is really difficult to obtain a new dll for working in trnsys with your components without rewriting sorce codes.

Could you please help us on this effort? There may be external modules not included un the source code library included in SAM?

Thanks in advance

We did not include the water properties module with the source code files because it was developed by John Dyreby of Northland Numerics. The source code files that we do distribute were developed at or funded by DOE/NREL.

Please feel free to contact John Dyreby about the water properties module.

Best regards,
Paul.

The water properties module is the only custom TRNSYS source code that is not included in the SAM distribution. Some of the original TRNSYS source code are also not included, such as the kernel and printers. That code is part of the TRNSYS package -- if you own a copy of TRNSYS, the only code you will not have access to is the water properties module.

For the power tower model, the heliostat field layout and power tower optimization code (PTGen) is not included in the SAM distribution. Note that this code is run by SAM (outside of TRNSYS) to generate inputs for the TRNSYS call. It is possible to generate those inputs without PTGen.

Best regards,
Paul.
