CSP plant power cycle nominal efficiency correction

Is there any reference available to correct the power cycle nominal efficiency based on the rated capacity? If I design a plant with net electrical output of 100 MW vs. a plant with a net electrical output of 20 MW, will the power cycle nominal efficiency remain the same?

The same question also for a direct steam generation tower plant.

Thank you for the answers!

Dear Anish,
In SAM's CSP models both the power cycle nameplate capacity and its nominal efficiency are inputs, so you have to specify values that are realistic.
This presentation from the NREL Troughnet website inculdes a graph of Rankine cycle performance for a range of turbine capacities: Kelly, B. (2006) Large Plant Studies. Parabolic Trough Review Meeting. ( PDF 964 KB )
You might search the NREL Publications or SolarPaces websites for studies on the subject.
Best regards,

Paul.

Dear Paul,

Thank you for the helpful reply!

Is there something similar for the central receiver CSP plants? And in the range of 10-50 MW rated capacity? I went through the document libraries of the SolarPaces and NREL websites, but was unable to find the information. Would you be kind enough to point me to the right direction? Thanks!

Best regards,
Anish

Dear Anish,

I am not aware of a similar document for other types of power plants.

Best regards,
Paul.
