Heliostat layout , convert Azmiuthal zones to x-y grid for 2015 SAM version

Dear Paul,

We were trying to create the GEMASOLAR validated case study in the new SAM version. However, we realized that in the new version only x-y grid heliostat fields are imported while the GEMASOLAR case uses a 12 Azimuthal zone and 12 radial zones.
Can you please advise on how we can convert that field to x-y grid? Or you might have an updated version of validated GEMASOLAR case study file (.sam version) that we can use for the new version.

I also have this problem. We have the heliostat field layout of old version, and I do not know how to import it into the latest version.

Hello,
The CSP case studies  were done using SAM 2013.1.15. To replicate those analyses, you should download the legacy version from the Download page . Similar studies have not been repeated with more recent versions of SAM, and because of changes to the model since 2013, it is not possible to exactly replicate the simulation runs with newer versions of SAM.
