Average attenuation loss was created by rid7043
Hi,
I want to calculate the average loss of the field. I have done it according to the formula in the help in excel, and them I average the attenuation of all the heliostats of the field. According with my calculus, the average is 8.1% but the average calculate by SAM is 8.3%.
There is a weight of the attenuation dependent of additional parameters (energy, mirror surface ...)?
Thanks

Hello,
SAM does not use any parameters other than those shown in Help to calculate the average attenuation loss reported on the Power Tower Heliostat Field page.
Best regards,
Paul.
