Hello,
SAM stores the module, inverter and other libraries in the
inverter folder of your SAM installation (
C:\SAM\ by default in Windows,
see here
for OS X). The libraries are CSV files that you can view and edit in a spreadsheet program.
When you use a newer version of SAM to open a file that you last saved in an older version of SAM, SAM looks in the folder of the version that you are running to find the library. For example, if you create a file in SAM 2014.11.24, and then open it in SAM 2015.1.30, you should see modules and inverters from the 2015.1.30 libraries.
We update the libraries as needed when we release a new version of SAM.
In your case, to model a system with those newer modules, you should use SAM 2015.1.30. You can confirm the version number you are running by clicking Help in the top right corner of the SAM window, and then clicking About in the Help window.
Best regards,
Paul.
