Hi Paul,

There are numerous modules on the market that do not appear to have been included in the database of the 2015.1.30 update. Aside from manually entering each desired module's data, how does one update the library to include them?
Specifically, I'm looking for SolarWorld 280, 285, 310 and 315W modules.

Follow up:
I started a project in the previous version of SAM, and have since downloaded 2015.1.30. Projects started in the newer version have the desired modules. Opening a project started in the previous version in 2015.1.30 does not update the libraries.

Hello,
SAM stores the module, inverter and other libraries in the inverter folder of your SAM installation (C:\SAM\ by default in Windows, see here for OS X). The libraries are CSV files that you can view and edit in a spreadsheet program.
When you use a newer version of SAM to open a file that you last saved in an older version of SAM, SAM looks in the folder of the version that you are running to find the library. For example, if you create a file in SAM 2014.11.24, and then open it in SAM 2015.1.30, you should see modules and inverters from the 2015.1.30 libraries.
We update the libraries as needed when we release a new version of SAM.
In your case, to model a system with those newer modules, you should use SAM 2015.1.30. You can confirm the version number you are running by clicking Help in the top right corner of the SAM window, and then clicking About in the Help window.

Does the free version of SAM 2016.3.14/x64 have the data for a SolarWorld 280 panel? I can't find it.

I had to manually create a file for the SW280 panels. Open your project and go to Modules. Use the pull-down menu and select CEC Performance Model with User Entered Specifications. Enter the data from the Solarworld SW280 spec sheet. Save the file. SAM will save it as an Excel *.csv file.

Actually, SAM 2016 does include the SW280 Mono as well as SW280 Mono Black. Looks like the library includes up to SW335XL. Parse through all Solarworld entries in the pull-down menu until you find yours. They may not be listed sequentially as you expect.
