Dear Mr Paul,
I am trying to simulate a solar tower CSP plant with water/steam as HTF using SAM 2014 version. I am considering taken receiver inlet and outlet temperature as 250oC and 365oC respectively. How do i go about the number of data points and temperature step lines? Also how do i get the required values for; specific heat, density, viscosity, kinematic viscosity, conductivity, and enthalpy of HTF? Your kind response is highly anticipated.
My best regards.

Dear Muye,

To model a direct steam tower system in SAM, when you create your case in SAM, you should use the CSP power tower direct steam model instead of the CSP power tower molten salt. The direct steam model has the HTF properties built-in, so you do not need to provide them as input.

Best regards,
Paul.

Dear Paul,
Many thanks for your quick response to my question. I have located the direct steam solar tower CSP model from the create file wizard as guided.
Thanks once more and my kind regards.
