PVWatts v5 AC nameplate rating was created by nino
I have been checking the PVWatts Version 5 Manual, and have one question related with Inverter model (section 12):
How does one define the AC nameplate rating (Pac0)?
Is AC nameplate rating equal to DC rating of the system divided by DC-to-AC ratio (1.1):
Pac0 = Pdc0/1.1
Where:
Pdc0 = System size (4kW by default)
Meaning:
Pac0 = 4/1.1 = 3.63 kW
?
Thank you for the reply.

Yes. For the PVWatts model, the total inverter nameplate AC capacity is determined by the system nameplate DC capacity and DC-to-AC ratio as you describe.
For the detailed photovoltaic model, the total inverter nameplate AC capacity is the product of a single inverter's AC capacity and the number of inverters.
Best regards,
Paul.
