Demand charges with solar PV year 2-25 was created by schmidly
Paul, can you tell me what is the easiest way to calculate the demand charge savings for customers that invest in solar PV (commercial) from year's 2-25? I can see in SAM how to do it for year 1, but I'm not sure how best to approach for the following years. Please advise when you get a chance. Thanks, Brian S.

Dear Brian,
SAM only has information about the hourly (or subhourly) solar resource and load for Year 1, so it calculates the savings for Year 1, and assumes that the same savings apply in Years 2 and later. If you specify an escalation rate on the Electricity Rates page, then the savings in Years 2 and later will be adjusted accordingly.
Best regards,
Paul.
