Photovoltaic DC/AC Ratio and Microinverters was created by Paul Gilman
When choosing Enphase microinverters, does SAM still handle DC/AC ratio properly? It doesn't appear so. That would need to be done on a single panel basis.
When you model a photovoltaic system with microinverters, you should use the Specify modules and inverters option on the System Design page, and set the number of inverters equal to the number of modules in the system (shown under Configuration and Reference Conditions). You may want to experiment with different sizes of modules and inverters (on the Module and Inverter pages) to find the optimal design. Also remember to set the mismatch loss on the Losses page to zero
If you try to use the sizing assistant (Specify desired array size option), SAM will choose a number of inverters to meet the DC/AC ratio you define. The inverter library does not identify inverters as microinverters, so the sizing assistant does not "know" to treat them differently than other inverters.
Best regards,

Paul.
