Hello
I am getting an error message
exec fail(pvsamv1): CEC 6 parameter model: Could not solve for normalized coefficients. Please check your inputs.
Simulation pvsamv1 failed.

I am using the Schott Poly TM 175W and I have entered the electrical parameters from the datasheet on CEC module with user entered specifications.

I sincerely request for your assistance ASAP. Thank you.

Regards

Could you email me a copy of the .sam file with the coefficients you entered for the module?
Best regards,

Paul.

Yes. The phrase "email me" in my post above is a link that you should be able to click to send an email to sam dot support at nrel dot gov.

Best regards,
Paul.

Dear Paul,

Having the same error message. I'm using Yingli's 305W p-Si module datasheet coefficients.

Did you know whats causing the error?

Hello,
When people report a simulation error with the CEC model with user-entered specifications, the error is usually caused by using the incorrect units for the temperature coefficients of Voc and/or Isc. Please be sure to choose the correct units: SAM allows you to enter those parameters in either Volts/Amps per degree Celsius or as a percentage per degree Celsius, but you have to use the dropdown list to choose the units that match the values you enter from the datasheet. Also, please carefully check all of the other values you enter to make sure they are consistent with the datasheet values.
Best regards,

Paul.
