There are many good information resources on wind energy technologies on the Internet. For example, please see the following websites:

U.S. Department of Energy's wind program

Danish Wind Industry Association

You can also refer to the NREL wind maps for Pakistan for a sense of what areas have good wind potential:

NREL Pakistan Resource Maps

The Pakistan Meteorological Department also has wind resource assessment reports for several locations around the country:

PMD Wind Energy Project

I hope that helps.

Best regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul, I'm from Colombia and I am interested in NREL wind maps for Colombia if there are. Would you help me with that?

Thanks for your time.

Please see the NREL GIS website to find renewable energy resource maps for the U.S. and international locations:

www.nrel.gov/gis/maps.html

Another resource is the NREL OpenEI website. Here is the page for Colombia:

en.openei.org/wiki/Colombia

It appears that there may not be an NREL wind atlas for Colombia.

Best regards,
Paul.
