simulations on modified weather data was created by besakkimuthu
Hello
I would like to run a simulation on a weather file of my own.
But it will not have 8760 hourly values.
I would like to run a simulation on weather data for a particular week of the year.
I have not been able to run this simulation successfully so far.
Is it possible to run such simulations for particular periods of time alone on SAM?
I appreciate any help on this question.
Thank you

No. SAM requires a full year's worth of weather data, so it is not possible to run a simulation over shorter periods.
If you try experimenting with a weather file that contains only one week of data (with dummy data for all other hours of the year), keep in mind that SAM uses the row number to determine the time of day for sun angle calculations. I am not suggesting that this approach will generate accurate results.
Best regards,
Paul.
