I am having trouble finding the shading calculator in the Mac version of SAM. Is it only available in the Windows version?
SAM's 3D Shade Calculator for photovoltaic systems is available in both the OS X and Windows version with the PVWatts and Detailed Photovoltaic performance models.
For PVWatts, go to the System Design input page, and click Open 3D shade calculator at the bottom of the page.
For the detailed photovoltaic model, go to the Shading input page, and click Open 3D shade calculator at the top of the page.
