Why doesn't PySAM give me the same results the GUI does? was created by frohro
Hi Paul,
I'm trying to reproduce the results I get with the 2020.1.17 GUI using PVWatts in PySAM. I am finding differences, though some things are the as I expect. Here are two differences I'm trying to figure out:
Do you have any tips?
Thanks,
Rob

- The PVWattsv7.Outputs.ac_annual should be 134580kWh according to the GUI, but I get 137318kWh from PySAM.
- The net present value should be $113,624, but PySAM is giving mo $494,922.
Do you have any tips?
Thanks,
Rob

Hi Paul,
Today, I thought that the thing I am doing wrong is that I'm using the PVWatts7 and the SingleOwner in PySAM, but I'm doing PVWatts7 Commercial in SAM. So I went to try and add the utilityrate5 and cashloan in instead of just going to the single owner directly. Eventually I need to modify the utility rates anyway. Now, I have an issues where it is segmentation faulting. I don't know if this is because I'm just following the pattern that worked before or what. Here is the script with those changes. Do you have any ideas?
Thanks,
Rob
