Hello,
Working with CSP model, is it possible to define a typical N-S solar field orientation with a ground slope of 1º to the East (which means that East is 1º higher than West)?
Looking to the user manual it seems to be Azimuth = 0º to N-S orientation but I am not sure about how to define the slope to the East. Tilt equal to 1º is that the south of the solar field is 1º up than the north?
I am working with a Project in the north hemisphere.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
SAM's CSP models do not have an input for ground slope. They all assume that the collectors are installed on level, horizontal ground.
Best regards,
Paul.

Level your units, there is no need as such to account for slope.
Best regards

Thanks for your response.
And Tilt means the elevation of one end of the collectors with respect to the other end, and in the direction of the axis?

Yes, that is a fair description of the tilt angle for collectors in the solar field of a CSP system in SAM.

So, I only could simulate ground slopes in the direction of this axis. Is this supposition correct?
Thanks again
