Hello,

Thank you for reporting this issue with the Download Electric Load Data macro. You can track our progress fixing the problem on the SAM GitHub repository github.com/NREL/SAM/issues/379 .

Best regards,
Paul.

This error is caused by a new web security policy that requires URLs with "https" instead of "http." The macro uses "http" to access the load data. We will fix this in the next version of SAM.

In the meantime, you can fix the problem yourself as follows:

1. Create or open a .sam file with one of the financial models for
distributed projects, Residential, Commercial, or Third Party Ownership.

2. Click Macros under the Simulate button in the bottom left corner of the SAM window.

3. Choose the Download Electric Load macro.

4. Click View code at the top right of the window to open the script editor window..

5. Use the Find button at the top of the window to search for "http" and
replace it with "https". There should be three instances in Lines 88,
146, 151. (The two instances in the instructions in Line 3 and Line 27
do not need to be replaced.)

6. Click Save to save your changes, and then Close to exit the script editor.

Best regards,
Paul.
