Desining a physical trough CSp I'm trying to find references for reasonable values to set Min and Max single loop flow rates. Any suggestions?
Are there limits usally imposed on min and max fiel flow velocities?

Hello,
There is a discussion of this topic in the 2014 webinar we gave on SAM's physical trough model:
sam.nrel.gov/concentrating-solar-power/csp-videos.html
I would recommend watching the entire video, but the sections on loop configuration starts around Minute 24 ( youtu.be/FuwAPdv_l8Q?t=1441 ) and, after the detailed discussion of the iterative process at Minute 40 ( youtu.be/FuwAPdv_l8Q?t=2406 )
You can also learn more about the parameters in the Physical Trough Model's reference manual (Wagner 2011), which is available under "Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) Models" on the System Performance Model documentation page:
sam.nrel.gov/concentrating-solar-power/csp-publications.html
Also see the Solar Field Help topic for the Physical Trough model, especially the "Specifying the Loop Configuration" section toward the bottom of the page: samrepo.nrelcloud.org/help/troughphysical_solar_field.htm
Best regards,
Paul.
