declining SREC valuatin analysis was created by yachtsf
Hello,

Is it possible to model declining SREC pricing within SAM? For example; $100/SREC for the first 5 years, $75/SREC for the next 5 years and $25/SREC for the remaining 10 years.

Thanks,

Yes, it is. go to the incentives tab, go to PBI, convert srec ($/credit) to ($/kwh) 1 credit=1mwh=1000kwh

put it under utility and give it a -25% escalation or whatever you prefer.

You could even press the button to the left and enter the value for each year of the PBI

Dear Sy,
Jonathan's suggestion is a good one. Once you express the SREC in $/kWh, you can use the PBI option on the Incentives page to model the SCREC. You can use the Annual Schedule option to specify an SREC for each year.
For example, one value for Years 1 through 5, and a second value for years 6 through 10, etc. Here's a screenshot to help you see what we are describing:

Best regards,

Paul.
