Rated cycle conversion efficiency was created by Nora Eisam
Good morning,
I am trying to modelise an actual parabolic trough power plant, and i have a doubt related to the input of SAM: Rated cycle conversion efficiency.
The definition of this parameter in SAM user guide is: The thermal to electric conversion efficiency of the power cycle under design conditions.
And this is my question: where are defined the design conditions? is possible to fix them?
Thanks in advance

Dear Nora,
You specify the power block design conditions (boiler operating pressure, steam cycle blowdown fraction) along with the rated cycle conversion efficiency. The power block design inlet and outlet temperatures are defined by the solar field design temperatures on the Solar Field page.
Best regards,
Paul.
