Inverters With More Than 4 MPPTs was created by corey@cherrystreetenergy.com
How would I model results for an inverter with more than 4 MPPTs (e.g., SMA Sunny Tripower CORE1 US-41)?

Hi Corey,
SAM can only model arrays with up to 4 subarrays or groups of modules, so it only allows inverters with up to 4 MPPTs.
This means that SAM can supports an array with up to 4 different string lengths or with modules grouped into up to 4 sections with different orientations or shading characteristics. If your design has more than 4 groups of arrays but some of those arrays have the same string length and orientation/shading, then you could treat those groups as a single subarray.
I have created an "issue" for the SAM GitHub repository so we can investigate changing this for a future version:
github.com/NREL/SAM/issues/583
Best regards,
Paul.
