Error with Subarrays was created by Alex_K
I got the error below when trying to model a PV system with two subarrays. Does anyone know how to avoid this?
SAMSIM MESSAGES
MSG[0]: IVAL LOOKUP ERROR pv.subarray1.enable
MSG[1]: error setting up ssc shading inputs for subarray 2, err=-2
MSG[2]: MISSING OUTPUT system.hourly.glob_horiz_rad
MSG[3]: MISSING OUTPUT system.hourly.beam

MSG[94]: MISSING OUTPUT system.use_recapitalization

Dear Alex_K,
Would you mind replying with a copy of your .zsam file attached so that I can troubleshoot? I can't tell from the error message what might be causing the problem. It appears to be related to shading inputs, but I can't tell for sure.
Best regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul,
My file is attached. I have three cases as I started this before the latest version of SAM was released which had the sub-arrays in it. The Flat Roof case will be superfluous if I can successfully integrate it with the Metal Roof-W case as a sub-array.
Thanks for you help. I am very excited to use the sub-array feature. It was on my wish list for a long time.

Hi Alex,
Thank you for sending the file. It looks like there are some shading values that SAM is storing from a previous run that are causing the problem. I'm working with the developers to resolve this, but as a workaround, please try this:
For each of the three cases (Metal Roof-E, Metal Roof-E, and Flat Roof), on the PV Subarrays page, click Edit Shading, and then click OK to close the shading window. After you do that for each case, you should be able to run simulations without generating the error. (Because the first two cases use the Multiple Subsystems option, you'll need to do that for each case before running simulations.)
Please let me know if that works, or if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Paul.
