I have some questions about the Program SAM and solarPILOT.
When I did the simulation of the tower salt, single owner in the two programs I faced some problems in the number of the heliostat, where SAM gave me 2145 and solarPILOT gave me 365 heliostats. and for get the same number of heliostat we always modified the solar field design power in solarPILOT
The problem is in the solar field design power SAM is 20 MWe, and solrPILOT is 129 MW to get the same number of the heliostat.
my question is how to solve this problem
I look forward to receiving positive feedback soon.

Hello,
I am not sure what to suggest except to verify that you are using the same input assumptions for both models.
Best regards,
Paul.

Hi again,
We reviewed the files you emailed, and found that you used different values for tower height, receiver height, and receiver diameter in the two models. If you set the values of those parameters in SolarPILOT to be the same as the values in SAM, you should get the same number of heliostats from both models.
Best regards,
Paul.
