Is it possible to have negative overall "thermal energy to thermal storage" ??

I am trying to model a CSP plant with the Parabolyc Through Physical System.

It is possible to choose among two different options for the turbine inlet pressure control: fixed or sliding.

Choosing the "sliding" option involves a higher final production, but when I analyze how the TES works, I find that tanks are delivering more thermal energy to the power cycle than what they are receiving from the solar field. The possitive values of the column "Thermal Energy to Thermal Storage" (I think that represent the charging process) for one day amounted to 2190 approx, while the negative values (I think that represent the discharging process) amounted to -2600 approx.

Choosing the "fixed" option this does not happen.

The characteristics of the plant require the "sliding" option, and that is why I would like to know if this makes any sense.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Would you mind replying with your .zsam file attached so that I can see exactly what you are describing?

Best regards,
Paul.
