Hi,

First of all, thanks! Thanks a lot for offering this software and all the resources for free!

I have been trying to figure out but so far with little success whether it is possible to calculate the necessary manufacturing cost as a function of a set of values? Potentially even with negative manufacturing cost.

Would greatly appreciate any help,

Hi Joachim,

SAM is a system performance model. You can use it to calculate the cost of generating electricity for different kinds of renewable energy systems, given assumptions about the design of the system, and the cost of installing and operating the system from the system owner's perspective.

SAM does not calculate the cost of manufacturing components of a renewable energy system.
