CSP- physical model was created by Krishnakumar
For Thermal Energy Storage, SAM provides option for 2- Tank method. My query is how to simulate using single tank (i.e Thermocline, or increasing the HTF volume) simulated insulated expansion tanks.

Dear Krishnakumar,
SAM's physical trough model does not model thermocline thermal energy storage systems.
Older versions of the power tower model did include a thermocline option as described here:
sam.nrel.gov/forum/forum-general/1361-supercritical-brayton-power-cycles-for-parabolic-and-fresnel-csp-plants-in-sam
