For the Fall 2012 release, based on feedback from the Beta test, we have decided to change the Flat Plate PV sizing suggestion message on the Array page to be based on a comparison of the inverter nameplate DC input capacity with the array nameplate DC capacity. SAM will show the following value in the sizing message:

Array DC Nameplate Capacity / Inverter Power DCo / Number of Inverters * 100%

Thank you for this information. If anyone else is having trouble installing SAM on Windows 7, please let us know. We are still trying to determine what is causing this issue.

Are you seeing the same message that "energysteven" described in the SAM Beta Fails Setup.jpg attachment, or a different message?

If so, could you describe the exact steps you are taking to install SAM? Also, please let me know the name of the installation file you are trying to install (for example, sam-beta-win32-2012-9-27.exe).
