PV Modules and Inverters not in Database

Hi Paul, I´ll hitch a ride on this topic.

I tried to include a new module that wasn't part of the database, but I couldn´t find a way to insert its nominal power and module/cell efficiency (450W).

How´d I do it?

Hi Lester,

SAM calculates the nominal power at STC based on the input parameters you provide under "Electrical Specifications." You provide the Vmp and Imp values, and it calculates Pmp = Vmp * Imp.

When entering the module information from the cutsheet, should you use the values from Performance at Standard Test Conditions or Performance at Normal Operating Conditions?

SAM assumes photovoltaic module ratings are at Standard Test Conditions (STC).
