Storage Dispatch was created by pkulbeik
For the physical trough model, I am having some issues with the thermal storage dispatch. In previous versions, the values ran from 0 to 1 with 0=off and 1=on. In testing values and tracking dumped energy, I got the lowest dumped energy if I used 0=on and 0.1 = off. Is this the correct control range for dispatch?
Also for the physical trough model, is the annual energy reported the net energy output or the gross energy output?
Thanks,
Pam Kulbeik

Dear Pam,
The dispatch inputs should not be different in SAM 2016.3.14 and earlier versions. What is the version number for the older version of SAM that seems to behave differently?
Best regards,
Paul.

Hello Paul,
The older version is 2013.9.20. As I've various cases of TES dispatch, I am getting the same results and it doesn't seem to be dispatching per the table. Can you please clarify the dispatch control?
Regards,
Pam Kulbeik
