Hello M. Gilman,

Can you tell me please how SAM processes the weather file in order to obtain the annual solar iiradiation on a POA (or nominal POA that is presented as an input in the loss graph when simluation the PV system)? I want to calculate the annual POA solar irradiance by manual calculation

Is there any document that can help me?

Hello, you can find a pretty readable explanation of such a model on https://pvpmc.sandia.gov/modeling-steps/ It may not be identical to SAM but you'll find how POA is calculated from TMY.
