Corrupt Installation File

When trying to install SAM, you may see a message saying that the installation file is corrupt. To avoid this problem, please download the file and save it to your computer, and then run the installation after the download is complete. Depending on your web browser, you may need to right-click the link to the file and choose "Save" or "Save link as" from the shortcut menu to download the file instead of running it.

I downloaded the way you explained and it makes no difference. Is still get the same error Message. We are using Windows7 Enterprise 64bit, maybe this is the problem?

The Installfile for the Versions 2011.6.30 starts without error message.

I’ve had the same issue, but I swapped my 64 bit system to 32 bit system, now the SAM runs perfectly :)

If you want to move from a 64-bit version of Windows to a 32-bit version of Windows 7 or vice versa, you'll need to back up your files and then choose the custom option during Windows 7 installation. You'll then need to restore your files and reinstall your programs and it should work fine.

I wonder if the SAM system can be applied to the online websites like http://www.gamble.co.uk , I mean is it technically possible to use SAM as an website monitoring program?

SAM runs on both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Windows 7. There is no need to make changes to your 64-bit Windows 7 installation to run SAM.

I don't know what you mean by a "website monitoring program," but I don't think that is something SAM can do. The website you mention does not appear to have anything to do with renewable energy or with energy modeling.

Download Error

C:\Documents and Settings...Downloads\sam-win32-2011-12-2.exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

I am Trying to download SAM last two days without success.

Any help??

There are several things that could be causing your browser to display this message or a similar message. Please try searching the Web for a portion of the message, for example use Google to search for "could not be saved because the source file could not be read" to find suggestions for how to resolve this issue.
