Keep getting error

I have tried several times to ask a question about parametric analysis but when I hit the preview or save button I keep getting an error message. It says to see my administrator and won't let me post the question. Your support ID is: 2552157605525753037

Hi,
I performed a simulation with Parametrics but when I export to csv or excel file, the data become different as it is possible to check in attachment files. This happens because the number of decimal places are different from one to another value of irradiance in SAM results.
Can you solve my problem?

Offshore BOS variables for statistical analysis

Hello, I have some question regarding offshore balance of system variables for statistical analysis as listed below.

1. Are offshore BOS variables not available for input to parametric/stochastic analysis?

2. most of offshore BOS variables shows non-relevance to tornado chart output such as levelized costs and total installed costs even with extreme change (up to 100%) of input variables, is this already known problem and any way to fix it?

solar hot water

while finding optimal tilt and azimuth angle in parametric analysis, I would like to have annual irradiation value in output in place of hourly irradiation. is there a chance by which i can do that to make my analysis more sensible?

How does the approach temperature of cooling water affect the power cycle efficiency of CSP plant?

Hello. I've been try to understand how the approach temperature of cooling water affects the power cycle conversion efficiency of a hypothetical wet-cooled parabolic-trough CSP plant located in Mojave, Californa. The attached figure shows the yearly average efficiency as a function of the approach temperature. My question is why T_approach = 10C has the highest efficiency instead of T_approach = 5C. Thank you.

Parametric analysis - dual tilt and self shading

With regards to parametric analysis in SAM, I think the way SAM is handling dual tilt system (East-West) may not be reflective of how they are done in the real world. I create two subarrays with one facing east (90 degrees) and the other facing west (270 degrees) and split the strings between the two. I believe self shading enabled would give an inaccurate result in this case since the modules would not be racked in a sawtooth-like fashion as would be a typical east-west install.
Is there anyway to create this type of configuration under SAM?

Selecting input variables

Dear All,
When we are selecting input variables, should there be correlation between the variables?If so how to select them?
I did a parametric analysis using PPA price, SM, number of field subsections, and TES (hrs) for my thesis on CSP. my supervisor asked how do you select these variables as the inputs? what are the correlation between them? what are the statistics behind selecting of inputs? are they have linear relationship or another relationship? How do I answer those questions? please help me.

why LCOE vary with PPA price? and Why is IRR result NAN?

Hi,
I did a parametric analysis using SM, NFS (nos of field subsections), PPA price,and TES. a summary of the results are attached herewith. My understanding is, if the NFS, SM, and TES are not changed, the LCOE cannot be changed. am I correct? but according to the results, it changes when the PPA price changes. Please give me the reason/s. this can happen due to involving of many iterations. is that the reason?
Other thing is why is IRR result show NAN (not a number) result (please see cell no-30:O)?

Parametric analysis varying DC to AC ratio while keeping AC constant

Hi,

I have been trying to run a parametric analysis to vary the DC to AC ratio and the GCR, while keeping the AC size constant. I know that I can vary the DC to AC ratio easily but this seems to vary the AC size. I'd like to keep the AC size constant.

Questions in inverter module database and output ac power of a solar inverter.

Hi there,

I am doing a research project on Solar PV plant modelling. I got the excel file of inverter parameters at https://sam.nrel.gov/sites/default/files/sam-library-cec-inverters-2015-...

Certain queries I have, please answer if possible.

1. Where can I get AC Output power (Pac) generated by the inverters?

2. What is PDc0?

3. Is Vdcmax given in excel file the same as
VDC described in SANDIA Inverter model?
